The Domestic, Family Violence and Vulnerable Persons Command (DFVVPC) provides a strategic capability for the Queensland Police Service (QPS) in the prevention, disruption, investigation and response to domestic and family violence and harm to vulnerable persons. As part of this strategic capability, the DFVVPC has the responsibility to deliver outcomes for a number of recommendations made by the Women’s Safety and Justice Taskforce (WSJTF) and the Commission of Inquiry into
QPS responses to domestic and family violence (COIDFV).

The successful applicant will work as part of the Implementation Team to purposefully address the intent of various recommendations to improve police responses to domestic and family violence, support and protect victims and hold perpetrators to account. This position is required to develop, implement and respond to governance requirements related to the delivery of the Commission of Inquiry into QPS response to Domestic and Family Violence (COIDFV) and Women's Safety and Justice Taskforce (WSJTF) recommendations.
The core capability requirements for this role are:
- Build and maintain communication networks and provide high level advice to senior management, internal, and external stakeholders.
- Manage and direct multi-disciplined teams focussed on delivering continuous improvement relating to Unit business activities.
- Manage, or contribute to, the end-to-end delivery of projects and prepare relevant project documentation.
- Provide relevant, accurate and timely expert advice on strategic opportunities and business improvements relating to the Queensland Police Service's response to vulnerable and marginalised persons.
- Initiate, develop and implement initiatives through a build, measure and learn approach.
- Provide leadership and direction fostering an outcomes-focused workplace and inclusive culture.
- Prepare and coordinate high-level comprehensive reports, ministerial correspondence and briefing material relating to the Service's response to vulnerable and marginalised persons.
