The ideal applicant will demonstrate capability in the following requirements:

 

  • Significant experience and demonstrated ability in the management of complex and high value purchases, contractual arrangements and standing offer arrangements.
  • Proven ability in carrying out procurement projects independently and good understanding of the Queensland Government tender process.
  • Ability to identify, collect, analyse and present data in a manner that contributes to sound procurement and contract management decision making.
  • Demonstrated high level of interpersonal communication, consultation and negotiation skills to provide professional advice relating to procurement, travel management and other matters relating to this position.
  • Demonstrated ability in planning and prioritising activities to meet deadlines and commitments.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage relationships, including the ability to effectively liaise with internal stakeholders to successfully implement change across an organisation.  High level written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to rigorously research and analyse information relevant to tasks.  Displays sound judgement in decision making.
  • Significant experience and proven ability in the development and implementation of strategic procurement policies and processes in accordance with the Queensland Procurement Policy.  Experience in the procurement of ICT related goods and/or services.
  • Proven ability championing innovative procurement practices and solutions to stakeholders to ensure the delivery of tangible sustainable outcomes and benefits.
