Cross River Rail is a new 10.2 kilometre rail line running from Dutton Park to Bowen Hills, which includes 5.9 kilometres of twin tunnels under the Brisbane River and CBD. It will deliver four new underground stations at Boggo Road, Woolloongabba, Albert Street and Roma Street and upgrades to Dutton Park and Exhibition stations. Cross River Rail will unlock the bottleneck at the core of the South East Queensland rail network, allowing more trains to run more often and integrating with new roads and bus services to enable a turn-up-and-go transport system for the whole region.

The Requirements and Configuration Lead manages the co-ordination, administration and configuration of the Delivery Authority's Program, Project Scope and Technical Requirements to ensure best of State outcomes are achieved whilst maintaining compliance to the State issued Sponsor Requirements. 

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage and administer the Delivery Authority's Requirements Management Database and its included Artefacts to ensure compliance against the Sponsor Requirements.
  • Be the Delivery Authority's subject matter expert for the Requirements and Configuration Management discipline within the Systems Engineering approach mandated for the CRR suppliers.
  • Lead the Change Analysis and Configuration Management of artefacts which are controlled within the Delivery Authority's Requirements Management Database.
  • Lead and conduct supplier reviews of Requirements and Configuration Management discipline deliverables and support the review of suppliers Rail Systems Integration deliverables in consultation with the Rail Systems Integration team.
  • Coordination of consolidated reporting for presentations to senior management at Project and Program Reviews.
  • Promote and Support a corporate culture based on the Delivery Authority's Code of Conduct, Corporate Governance Principles, Integrity and a commitment to excellence and a high standard of professional ethics.

Key competencies:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience in Requirements Management using a Requirements Management Database (DOORS NG is highly preferable) to support the assurance of system and business requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in performing client-side role in delivery of rail projects or large infrastructure projects of equivalent complexity.
  • Delivering a variety of systems over the complete Systems Lifecycle in either the Transportation and/or Aerospace sectors.
  • Demonstrated delivery of Systems complaint to IEC/ISO 15288, EN 50126 and IEC/ISO 29148.
