The Infrastructure, Technology and Asset Services Command is responsible for organisational-wide ICT, facilities management, asset life-cycle management, real estate services and major infrastructure plan and delivery
The Digital Services and IT (DS&IT) Group, is part of the Infrastructure, Technology and Asset Services Command, and is responsible for establishing, leading and managing the digital and technology functions within QCS.
The Group works with business areas to ensure ICT investment aligns and supports the agency’s strategic direction, exploring emerging digital solutions whilst leveraging and managing existing business critical ICT environments.

The purpose of this role is to build an ICT sourcing and vendor management capability within QCS which will provide guidance on ICT procurement and supplier management.  This will be achieved through leading practices, staff and systems in support of best practice ICT procurement in QCS. The role will coordinate ICT procurement, ensuring that an enterprise viewpoint is achieved. In this role you will:

-Lead and manage the ICT sourcing strategies to improve procurement performance and compliance across QCS.

-Lead a team in delivery of strategic and operational ICT procurement, ICT supplier management and ICT licensing activities including identification of potential opportunities for cost savings whilst maintaining long term productive relationships with suppliers.  

-Lead specialist staff in developing, maintaining and applying standard ICT procurement and contract management policies and practices, offering advice and guidance as necessary.  

-Facilitate implementation and negotiate long term agreements and/or partnerships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.  

-Establish an ICT vendor (supplier) management approach to maximise business outcomes for the department.  This includes undertaking continuous improvement, development of templated documents, development of agreements and contracts to ensure effective and efficient supplier management practices whilst ensuring that terms and conditions are aligned with current legislation and policy.   

-Leads the procurement process, from clarifying requirements through to placing, monitoring and terminating contracts.  

-Measure the perception about how services are delivered, assessing the performance of the supplier, their effectiveness and performance across the supply chain.
