Safety Manager - TSD (Tunnel, Stations and Development) The purpose of the position is to provide leadership, support and guidance on safety matters for Cross River Rail Delivery Authority’s (CRRDA) Tunnels Stations & Development (TSD) program. This role will be responsible for leading the implementation of CRRDA safety systems and initiatives across the project, while supporting and coaching CRRDA Senior management on contemporary safety practices. The position will liaise and coordinate safety assurance activities with CCRDA’s contracting partners. This role will based in CRRDA’s Corporate Brisbane office and report directly to the Director Safety.

Key Responsibilities:
• Work with program managers to set the cultural tone and lead safety performance expectations across the project
• Develop CRRDA safety processes and initiatives that support and engender safety ownership by line managers
• Provide technical safety advice and support in the areas of critical risk management, incident investigation reviews and safety process implementation
• Coordinate safety compliance and assurance activities for TSD and analyse and report on outcomes
• Lead safety risk management processes including the management, review and update of the TSD critical risk protocol
• Contribute to the development of CRRDA's H&S management system and implement accordingly across TSD through all project phases
• Work with program managers to set clear safety performance expectations and standards across the various package of works
• Oversee and review the process and outcomes of safety incident investigations and share best practices across the project
• Prepare high level correspondence include briefing notes and reports with both a strategic and operational safety focus
• Establish safety forums and liaise with internal and external stakeholders including contractors, to deliver services that meet CRRDA needs and are consistent with agreed Executive Management priorities
• Establish the training needs analysis and coordinate the safety training program, induction and accreditation requirements for TSD to ensure compliance with competency requirements.
• Review safety systems and identify business improvement activities, risk mitigation strategies and supporting treatment plans.
