The Staff Training Coordinator (STC) is responsible for the management of the training needs across their correctional centre and determines training planning processes and resources required to deliver both centre and Departmental training and development outcomes. They do this by ensuring training data, records and planning within the Learning Management System (LMS) is managed for the centre and provide reporting and information to centre management that supports decision making.

In this role you will:  

- Manage the planning and resourcing of the centre's training requirements to ensure that all Correctional Officers maintain their qualifications as prescribed by the Agency and work closely with QCS Academy, trainers, centre rostering staff and managers  

- Coordinate operational training to meet their centre's needs and forecast training requirements and resources to deliver on centre based training needs.  The STC also supports centre management in their accountability for ensuring correctional officers complete their vocational certificate and maintain current in all mandatory training requirements by providing regular reporting via the LMS  

- Conduct training needs analysis for centre staff across a range of functions and activities and develop training plans  

- Manage the centre's training assessment function; this includes providing support to learners undertaking assessments, providing moderation for workplace content experts and confirmation of assessments prior to progressing to QCS Academy for validation  

- Oversee the centre's training administration and records including storage, retrieval and archiving as per RTO standards  

- Produce statistical training data and reporting for centre management and the QCS Academy on a regular basis that supports decision making on future training needs and resourcing  

- Deliver quality training to staff within the centre and design training programs in conjunction with the QCS Academy

Mandatory Requirement - Nil

The possession of TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or at a minimum have TAESS00015 Enterprise Trainer Skill Set or TAESS0001 Assessor Skill Set. 

Successful applicants that only hold a Skill Set would be required to successfully complete TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment within 12 months of appointment.
