About the Mackay Hospital and Health Service
Mackay Hospital and Health Service has six hospitals, two multi-purpose health services and four community health centres that employ more than 3,300 staff. The district covers an area of approximately 90,000km2 and provides services to patients and their families in Bowen, Cannonvale, Clermont, Collinsville, Dysart, Glenden, Mackay, Middlemount, Moranbah, Proserpine and Sarina.
Your opportunity
- Cleaning - Responsible for providing a 24 hour/7-day week support service for cleaning staff and patient care including cleaning and removal of waste around the Mackay Base Hospital.
- Courier Driver - Responsible for providing a courier service for Mackay Base Hospital, MHHS Community Centres and MHHS Dental Clinics.
- Groundsperson - Ensure a clean, safe and pleasant grounds environment exists and is maintained.
- PELS - Provide a polite, prompt and efficient customer focus service within the high volume/non-specialised health technology assets to improve patient care across Mackay Base Hospital.
- Wardsperson - Responsible for providing a 24 hour/7-day week support service for multi-disciplinary staff and patient care including cleaning, removal of waste, transportation of patients, equipment, linen and materials around the Mackay Base Hospital.
Your team
Operational Services provides and co-ordinates a diverse range of services that support the clinical divisions in the delivery of patient centred health care at Mackay Base Hospital. The department consists of the following keys areas: Cleaning Services, Porterage Services, Waste Management, Grounds and Gardens, and Patient Equipment Loan Store (PELS).

Mandatory vaccination requirements
