The opportunity

Queensland Health provides world-class public health care in Australia, and we are now recruiting experienced Nurses and Midwives to work in our Queensland Health locations.

Queensland Health has a total of 16 hospital and health services, in metropolitan, regional, rural and remote areas across the state.

The roles available will be widespread across 16 Health Services which include:

  • Cairns and Hinterland
  • Children's Health
  • Central Queensland
  • Central West 
  • Darling Downs
  • Gold Coast
  • Metro North
  • Metro South
  • Mackay
  • North West 
  • South West
  • Sunshine Coast
  • Torres and Cape
  • Townsville
  • Wide Bay 
  • West Moreton

To be considered:
We are encouraging applications from Enrolled and Registered Nurses, including Nurse Practitioners, with experience across a broad range of specialities for job opportunities on either a full time or part time basis.

To be considered for these opportunities, you must have the following:

  • Minimum of 12 months relevant clinical experience demonstrated experience in your clinical area of expertise
  • Ability to provide registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Visit the AHPRA website for further information.
  • Relevant qualification in Nursing and/or Midwifery
  • Ability to provide vaccination evidence
  • Australian Working Rights

You may be eligible for the Queensland Health Attraction Incentive Scheme. Please refer to the guideline located on the Attraction Incentives website to view eligibility and conditions.
