The Psychological Services Unit, part of the Specialist Operations Branch, provides exceptional support to psychological services staff in correctional centres through expert clinical advice, professional development, and governance oversight. Lotus Glen Correctional Centre provides a unique opportunity for staff to work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people from regional and remote settings to address their individual needs. Psychologists working at the centre will develop skills, knowledge and experience in applying a culturally safe lens to their practice. Onsite Board Approved Supervision can be provided. WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE:

• Specialised Expertise: Proven skills in evidence-based assessment and intervention for adults facing challenges such as suicidality, mental health issues, cognitive impairments, or developmental disorders.
• Strong Communication: Exceptional written communication abilities to produce high-quality professional reports and case notes, along with outstanding verbal skills to engage effectively with a diverse client group.
• Legislative Knowledge: In-depth understanding of, and ability to interpret and apply, relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
• Commitment to Excellence: A passion for continuous learning and professional development, with a dedication to applying best practices in forensic and clinical psychology.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Provisional or General Registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
