Join QGAir’s dynamic rotary wing team in Cairns and make a real difference to the lives of those in need. We are seeking experienced helicopter pilots to fly single pilot, instrument flight rules (IFR) in multi-engine AW139 helicopters. You’ll be part of a highly coordinated, multi-crew environment conducting emergency medical, search and rescue and counter-disaster operations. Your role will involve supporting aeromedical, various police and government related missions, an ensuring each operation is conducted safely and efficiently.

What we're looking for:

Mandatory requirements:

Licences & Ratings

• Hold a current Australian Commercial Pilots Licence (CPL - Helicopter)
• Completion of Air Transport Pilots Licence Subjects (Helicopter)
• Low Level Rating
• Multi Engine Command Instrument Rating - 3 Renewals

Flight Hours Requirements

• Minimum 2500 hours total time
• Minimum 1500 hours Pilot in Command (PIC) Helicopter
• Minimum 200 hours Night PIC Helicopter
• Minimum 500 hours Multi-Engine PIC Helicopter
• Minimum 1200 hours Turbine Helicopter

Certifications and Documentation

• Hold or be eligible to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
• Current Class 1 Aviation Medical

Highly desirable:

Licences & Ratings

• Hold a current Australian Air Transport Pilots Licence (ATPL)
• Night Vision Imaging System (NVIS) Rating

Flight Hours Requirements

• Minimum 100 hours NVIS Operations

Type Ratings

• AW139 Type Rating

Certifications & Documentation

• Hold a current Australian Passport
