The Queensland Parks and Wildlife Services & Partnerships (QPWS&P) is seeking three dedicated WOO4 Rangers to join our Wide Bay Area Work unit based in Bundaberg, Maryborough and Moonford.
The successful candidate will immerse themselves in diverse park management activities, from overseeing the health of unique plant and animal species to executing fire management strategies and enhancing visitor experiences. Collaboration is key to this role; the ranger will work closely with other team members, local landholders, and lease owners to achieve significant environmental goals.
We are looking for an individual with outstanding communication skills, a willingness to engage with various stakeholders, and a deep commitment to ongoing learning and skills development. The OO4 role necessitates versatility and a strong work ethic, with responsibilities extending to supporting neighbouring work units and adapting to the wide range of QPWS&P operational applications and systems and is pivotal to supporting the Ranger in Charge in delivering the works program.
Please note, private rental availability in these areas may be limited, so we encourage prospective applicants to consider their accommodation options before applying. Join us at QPWS&P and play an integral role in protecting and preserving Queensland's natural heritage.
Applications to remain current for 12 months.
