About the Role:
As a Legal Officer/Assessment Officer/Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding the wellbeing of children and young people by assessing employment screening applications.
Your legal acumen and attention to detail will be crucial in assessing applications and providing sound advice based on the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assess employment screening applications by reviewing and analysing file information.
• Apply your legislative knowledge to conduct thorough risk assessments.
• Prepare detailed recommendations and correspondence.
• Manage case files efficiently, ensuring timely and prioritised handling.
• Conduct research and stay updated on relevant legislation.
• Provide clear and accurate advice to stakeholders.

What We're Looking For:
• Strong knowledge of the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000, or the ability to quickly acquire it.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
• Proficiency in interpreting and drafting legal documents.
• A collaborative team player with a commitment to workplace equity and respect.
