We are seeking an experienced and dedicated professional to support the Online Booking Services team to meet service delivery commitments relating to camping services in Queensland’s national parks and forests. As an active member of the
customer service team, you will positively contribute to the delivery of an extensive range of products and services to customers.
The primary focus of this role is to support users and customers of the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service online camping and vehicle permit booking system, the National Parks Booking Service.

As the Customer Service Officer, you will:
• Respond to customer enquiries through email and telephone including external organisations, individuals, DES staff and other Government agencies, ensuring consistent sound information is provided for customers and visitors.
• Use departmental databases and information systems, including the National Parks Booking Service, to manage accurate records, produce reports and provide refunds where appropriate.
• Provide accurate and timely information to management and staff on a range of administrative matters including, general administration and the status of the work being undertaken and work procedures e.g. issuing of invoices and tracking of financial processes and payments, correspondence and records management systems.
• Identify areas of operational improvement and assist in devising and implementing solutions to improve efficiency including the development of effective work practices and procedures in relation to camping services.
• Liaise and confer on a regular basis with staff of all levels and with external clients as required.
• Assist with the administration of permits and licences required under legislation administered by the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service and Partnerships.
• Foster a workplace culture that supports and promotes the interests of First Nations people and actively engage through our work to contribute to better outcomes for First Nations people.
