The opportunity as our Aerial Support Officer, you will:
• Undertake administrative duties for the Aerial team. This may include
o Assisting with the delivery of the aerial treatment and aerial surveillance tasking in accordance with CASA Legislation and Orders; Qld Legislation, Qld Procurement Requirements under QGCPO609 and the Departments' Aviation Safety Policy, Aviation Risk Assessment and Management Procedures.
o Assisting with the development of aerial operations procedures in accordance with the governance and program requirements.
• Uphold business efficiency and the positive profile of the program and DAF through effective communication with members of the public, clients, staff, suppliers and stakeholders and the provision of accurate and relevant information.
• Engaging with the public through seeking consent to enter properties and maintaining a polite and professional manner both in person and via telephone.
• Answer general questions from members of the public in ways that support the positive public profile of your team, the Program and of Biosecurity Queensland and that help people understand the importance of biosecurity.
• Perform approved aerial operations including assisting management with operational planning, organising, directing and evaluating aerial outcomes and priorities, and participating in projects to enable achievement of required targets, including scientific outcomes, in realistic timeframes.
• Process routine requests from stakeholders or members of the public as per business procedures to ensure operational arrangements are efficiently and effectively completed.
• Demonstrate excellence in customer service and when liaising with internal stakeholders
• Monitor and identify potential issues and use judgement and problem solving to assist in managing these issues.
• Monitor and edit data for accuracy and flag data issues when required to ensure data integrity and quality
• Execute processes and process controls to ensure that all aerial operations activities are conducted in a safe and efficient manner.
• Assist in all aerial application servicing as required, including refuelling procedures, aerial safety, equipment maintenance, and assist pilots as applicable.
• Maintain registers and demonstrate a high level of record keeping in accordance with department standards.
