The Queensland State Valuation Service (SVS) Branch stands as a cornerstone of property assessment excellence, delivering accurate and equitable statutory land valuations. This role leads the enabling functions for the SVS through the delivery of quality assurance, operational policy support, training and development and SVS systems and governance. To support staff from across the State to enable the SVS to transform business operations to have our landowners and other key stakeholders at the centre of the work we do.

You will be part of the senior leadership team of the SVS and provide leadership and management of the governance, engagement and assurance functions, supporting the building of trust with landowners and key stakeholders and supporting the modernisation and future proofing of the workforce.
About the role:
• Lead and manage strategic communications and engagement for valuation services, focusing on legislative compliance and customer satisfaction.
• Lead organisational change for strategic alignment, business objectives, and cultural improvement, embedding change management.
• Utilise high-level judgement to coordinate divisional needs and prioritise team tasks.
• Build partnerships with government and industry consistent valuation outcomes.
• Create and supervise complex reports, briefs, presentations, and correspondence.
• Advocate department goals, collaborating with agencies and stakeholders.
• Assist in divisional planning and resource allocation.
• Cultivate an outcome-driven culture prioritising development and balance.
• Mentor staff for optimal performance and service delivery.
• Design and maintain a sustainable workforce structure within budget.
About you:
We'll look for the best suited applicant by assessing eligibility and ability to undertake the requirements of the role (including, where relevant, the way you carried out
previous roles), including:
• a strategic thinker
• understanding of working and supporting legislative frameworks and regulatory functions
• ability to influence and support operational delivery in a regulatory environment
• customer focussed and able to be agile in your approach
• experience and skills in governance and engagement roles, and
• experience in leading multiple work streams, ideally in a regulatory environment would be well aligned to this role.
