QSA has an exciting opportunity for an Access Archivist to join our team to undertake a range of archival duties.

We are looking for an Access Archivist to join our team in this front-facing role to undertake a range of archival duties to enhance the discoverability of, and access to, paper-based and born-digital records in the collection and to facilitate access to the collection for public customers and government agencies both onsite and online.
You will work in a diverse team and engage with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
In this role you will:
• undertake archival reference and research activities using the QSA archival management system
• deliver archival reference and research services to the public via telephone, email and onsite in the Reading Room
• contribute to projects to enhance understanding and use of the QSA collection through education, public programming, and the development of finding aids and guides
• participate in and/or contribute to the development of the archival management system, including arrangement and description activities, and improvements to the system
• review and maintain archival practices in line with national and international trends and best practice, including the Australian Series System
• prepare reports, presentations, correspondence and other documents as required
• support the supervision and training of staff and students in archival practices to promote learning and knowledge building as required
• promote an environment of strong customer service, collaboration and teamwork to achieve quality outcomes within agreed performance measures
• other duties as directed by the Manager, Access Services.
