Your Key Accountabilities:

The core capability requirements for this role are:

  • Undertake repairs, servicing, and preventative maintenance of passenger vehicles, four-wheel drives, light commercial and a limited range of medium commercial vehicles and ancillary equipment to meet the manufacturer's specifications.
  • Diagnose faults and complete repairs of vehicles and equipment including use of electronic diagnostic equipment and/or road test in both workshop and field environments.
  • Undertake the ordering of automotive parts and accessories as required by the workshop.
  • Inspect vehicles and issue safety certificates in accordance with QLD Transport Regulations.
  • Follow safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment and competently and safely use hand and special tools and electronic diagnostic equipment, ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with Workplace Health and Safety requirements.
  • Participate in ongoing training to maintain competencies and operate in a team environment.
  • Completion of accurate and timely verbal and written communication as required - examples include, but are not limited to, job sheets, work orders, service reporting and recording and processing maintenance information.

Role Requirements:

Mandatory

  • Possession of a current Queensland driver's license Class C or equivalent license.

Qualification

  • While not mandatory possession of trade certificate qualifications as Tradesperson (Mechanical) will be highly regarded.

Technical/ Operational/ Educational experience

  • Qualifications, skills and knowledge deemed to be equivalent, together with demonstrated experience in the motor vehicle environment.

Other

  • 9-day fortnight working pattern. Uniforms are provided. The successful applicant will be located at 20 Pickering Street, Alderley.
