The core capability requirements for this role are:

  • Identify and analyse complex criminal history information compilation and release issues and recommend and implement acceptable solutions.
  • Ensure the compilation, provision, and release of criminal history information is in accordance with Queensland Police Service policies and procedures, current legislative provisions, and agreed service levels.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation and maintenance of policies, procedures, and performance standards to ensure they reflect best practice and support a compliant criminal history information compilation and release framework.
  • Provide guidance and training to Prosecution Services staff with a view to staff development and optimising performance if required.
  • Provide expert advice and assistance to internal and external stakeholders on the implementation of, and compliance with criminal history information compilation and release policies, procedures, and legislation.
  • Provide administrative support to QPS prosecutors, and coordinate and contribute to the administrative functioning of Prosecution Services.
  • Research Queensland Police Service (QPS) information systems to obtain relevant information to support the prosecution process relevant to court proceedings.
  • Develop and maintain key relationships to ensure client needs are being appropriately addressed.
