Join a team of professionals dedicated to supporting and maintaining Intelligent Transport Systems and Electrical (ITS&E) infrastructure assets within the state-controlled road network. The team oversees local ITS and electrical asset planning and project manages delivery of ITS&E projects, along with supporting elements of road safety and network upgrades. We offer a flexible 36.25-hour week, work from home options, accrued time off, time off in lieu, 12.75% superannuation, an EBA that provides for regular pay increases + more.

The purpose of the Engineer (Electrical) is to contribute and be involved in projects related to electrical and intelligent transport systems (ITS). You will be involved in the planning, design, construction and maintenance of these systems as well as traffic signal and road lighting projects.
THE ROLE:
Your responsibilities will include:
• Provide professional engineering advice on electrical engineering associated with ITS, traffic signal, road lighting and electrical applications.
• Contribute to the management of key components of the planning and design function for ITS, electrical and special infrastructure projects to achieve successful completion within time, quality, cost and stakeholder expectations.
• Adherence to engineering policies, practices and standards on electrical and ITS applications.
• Prepare electrical and communications systems designs for ITS and electrical applications.
• Undertake configuration, maintenance and reporting activities in relation to various ITS devices present in the department's road network using TMR software. These devices are located throughout the departments transport network and may be connected to the departments field device communications network.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary project teams delivering ITS infrastructure.
ABOUT YOU:
To thrive in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following:
• Experience in applying project management principles and methodology to achieve project outcomes.
• Ability to analyse information in a critical and rigorous manner and proactively identify issues and risks.
• Ability to independently investigates issues and apply in-depth understanding of electrical and intelligent transport systems.
• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to articulate complex problems and solutions to a variety of audiences.
• Builds and sustains relationships to enable the collaborative delivery of customerfocused outcomes.
MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS AND CONDITIONS:
• A four-year, Washington Accord accredited, Bachelor of Electrical Engineering or equivalence which is assessed/accepted by Engineers Australia against Washington Accord benchmarks.
• Holder of a current ‘C' class driver's license
