Principal Service Manager

Attached to Information Technology Partners (ITP), this position leads an ICT service management team that coordinates, prepares, and reviews the performance of ICT Service Level Agreements (SLA) with our partner agencies. We are looking for a person who knows ITIL and ITSM, has experience in reviewing and preparing SLAs or similar, and has strong facilitation skills and experience. ITP is business unit within Qld DPI that provides ICT services to seven state government agencies through a centralised business and corporate partnership model. As our Principal Service Manager, you will:
• Lead and manage a team of Service Managers to:
  o implement and support IT service management best practices (such as ITIL) across ITP
  o collaborate with internal stakeholders to prepare documentation
  o support and review ITP systems and service delivery framework
  o train and coach in IT service management best practices.
• Maintain a catalogue of services, service levels and agreements for all ITP services and provide service information to both internal and partnership stakeholders.
• Undertake service improvement projects and activities which contribute to Information Technology Partners delivering successful outcomes by monitoring internal and customer feedback, analysing trends and performing service reviews.
• Prepare and present submissions, reports, proposals, and briefings on issues related to IT services and performance, IT service management practices and IT service improvements.
• Foster and maintain constructive business relationships within ITP, partner agencies, suppliers and other business areas within the department.
• Identify opportunities, investigates, and implement operational efficiencies to improving the delivery of services.
• Foster and role-model a work environment that values performance, improvement, innovation and outcomes and knowledge sharing within ITP.
• Actively participate in a team environment and contribute to a positive workplace culture where ethical practices, workplace safety, equity, and diversity are valued and team members enjoy coming to work.
