About the Role
As ePMO (Enterprise Project Management Office) Manager, you will work with internal and external Project Management specialists to enhance the quality and consistency of project management across Legal Aid Queensland. From time to time, this role will also be required to lead and deliver project execution activities.
In this role, you will:
- Build a comprehensive, tailorable, project management (PM) toolkit for use across LAQ.
- Provide advice and guidance on application of PM principals, processes and tools.
- Provide coaching and training to enhance the level of PM awareness and skill across LAQ.
- Develop and deliver structured training sessions for project management skill uplift.
- Peer-review project artefacts for quality and assurance.
- Support the recruitment of Project Managers and the allocation of supporting resources across the ePMO portfolio.
- Directly manage designated projects, subject to capacity.
- Support stage gate reviews.
- Model the values of respect, quality and accountability.
- Maintain a high standard of practice through governance and risk management.
How You Will be Assessed
The ideal applicant will be someone who has the following capabilities:
- You have in-depth applied knowledge of multidisciplinary project management with the ability to apply and tailor principles, processes and tools from a range of recognised project management (PM) methodologies.
- You are skilled in applying PM principles, process and tools, leading project teams and in coaching others to do the same, your experience spans a wide range of project types and size with stakeholders across all organisational levels, internally and externally.
- You communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, you offer convincing rationale, negotiate persuasively, and your advice influences decision making.
- You support organisational objectives and demonstrate critical thinking. You demonstrate a growth mindset and build confidence within challenging environments.
- You support learning by providing coaching, constructive feedback and opportunities for development. You are accountable for ensuring quality services are delivered and implement best practice to achieve outcomes.
Other Desirable Requirements
There are no mandatory requirements or special conditions for this position however, Project Management Practitioner (or equivalent) certificates in at least two different Project Management methodologies will be highly regarded.
