About the role
As our Principal Consultant Health Safety and Wellbeing (Psychosocial) you will:
• Be responsible for the sustainable delivery of psychosocial risk management programmes across the department.
• Continue to develop and build on the department's work health and safety psychosocial risk assessments and improvement plans throughout our varied business areas.
• Provide consultancy services and advice to business groups and senior officers in addressing psychosocial WHS risks and issues.
• Coordinate early intervention response for incidents with psychosocial risks present.
• Lead the development of, present and facilitate briefings and workshops for management and staff, focusing on preventing and reducing the harm arising from psychosocial hazards.
• Lead the development and implantation of a peer support programme to assist in early intervention of mental illness or injury.
• Maintain a high level of knowledge of contemporary WHS management of psychosocial hazards, to ensure currency of knowledge and skills to provide appropriate outcomes or solutions for clients.
• Coach, mentor and support your managers, HSW practitioners and HR practitioners to minimise psychosocial hazards.
• Undertake research and analysis of organisational data to identify trends, opportunities, issues and challenges, centring on psychosocial WHS and present as required to HSW Committees.
You may also have
• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as Work Health and Safety, Psychology or Human Resources
