About Us
North Queensland Region consists of Far North, North West and Northern districts with offices in Cairns, Cloncurry and Townsville the region extends from the tip of Australia (including islands), west to Camooweal (Northern Territory border) and as far south as Home Hill.

The Role
In the role of Human Resource Support Officer, you will utilise a broad range of computer software programs and information management systems and databases to provide high level support services to QTRIP managers and/or team members which enhance the timely and effective delivery of services, ensuring compliance with appropriate legislation, organisational policies and procedures.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
• Participate in projects and provide administrative support for delivery of Human Resource (HR) services related to pay, establishment, recruitment and selection and HR initiatives
• Assist team members to develop, implement, evaluate, interpret, report and provide timely advice or recommendations on issues, policies or projects.
• Aid in drafting business cases, memos, reports, submissions or other correspondence in accordance with regional and departmental standards.
• Provide high level administrative support to team members, including coordination of team meetings, taking and distributing minutes, documents and reports, establishing and maintaining spreadsheets and registers and providing timely information, updates and presentations as required.
• Ensure operational practices and standards of service and performance comply with departmental and regional policies, legislation (incl. WH&S), and governance obligations.
Mandatory qualifications and conditions
• A current Class ‘C' Drivers Licence.
• Pre-employment checks, including a criminal history screening and declaration of serious discipline history will be required to be completed.
• Must be eligible to work in Australia.
Desirable qualifications and conditions
• Experience using Human Resource related systems/programs (SAP and Springboard) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience in a Human Resource role.
