About the Role

As the Senior People and Culture Advisor at QLeave, you'll be a key advisor and partner to leaders across the business—applying your HR expertise to influence positive workplace outcomes, support organisational change, and enhance employee experience.

You'll lead the development of people policies, deliver tailored HR advice, and oversee employee lifecycle activities from recruitment to workforce planning and capability development. You'll also provide day-to-day guidance to a People and Culture Officer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive advice across HR matters, including performance, development, and policy application
  • Lead the review, development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
  • Partner with leaders and employees to build trusted, collaborative relationships
  • Support recruitment and selection, workforce planning and change initiatives
  • Deliver PCC projects and contribute to strategic and operational planning
  • Supervise and guide the People and Culture Officer
  • Promote and embed QLeave's values and commitment to ethical practice

What We're Looking For

QLeave appointments are based on selecting the eligible applicant best suited to the position.  We will assess your application based on your experience, potential for development, and your personal qualities.

We're seeking someone with sound HR knowledge and the ability to juggle competing priorities with professionalism and confidence.

You'll bring:

  • Demonstrated experience delivering end-to-end HR services in a dynamic environment
  • High-level interpersonal skills with the ability to engage, consult and influence stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with a flair for clear and concise advice
  • A positive, proactive mindset and a genuine commitment to employee wellbeing
  • Familiarity with HR legislation, public sector frameworks and modern workplace practices

Desirable:

  • Qualifications or 4+ years' experience in HR, employee relations, or a related discipline
