This position sits in the Wildlife Permissions Team within the Permission Management and Ecotourism Unit of the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service & Partnerships Division (QPWS&P).
The team is responsible for delivering the Wildlife Permits and Commercial Macropod Management Programs.
The Team Leader leads a team of Assessment Officers in the assessment and administration of applications for permits, licences, authorities and project related activities with an emphasis on protected plants and animals on state-wide non-QPWS&P managed areas.

For this role, you'll need to:
• High level knowledge or ability to rapidly acquire high level knowledge of the Nature Conservation Act 1992 and subordinate legislation and contemporary wildlife (plant and animal) conservation and management practices.
• Supports productive working relationships—builds and sustains positive relationships with team members, stakeholders and clients; leads by example.
• Supports strategic direction—understands and supports the organisation's vision, mission and business objectives.
• Achieves results—makes best use of team and individual capabilities in a complex legislative environment and negotiates responsibilities for work outcomes.
