Your key responsibilities will include:
• Drive the delivery of MSQ's coastal maintenance dredging program, including project planning, environmental approvals, procurement, contractor management, and performance reporting.
• Manage the full lifecycle boating infrastructure and coastal engineering projects across Queensland, from concept development through to delivery and finalisation. This includes developing and managing project budgets, project management plans, procurement strategies, risk registers, schedules and progress reports in line with Transport and Main Roads project management frameworks.
• Provide expert technical advice on design, construction and asset management to senior management, district officers and other internal and external stakeholders for boating infrastructure, dredging and coastal engineering matters.
• Assess site suitability and technical feasibility for proposed maritime infrastructure and coastal engineering projects, preparing concept designs and cost estimates while ensuring environmental and cultural heritage obligations are appropriately considered.
• Procure, commission and manage consultants and contractors for the delivery of technical investigations, designs and studies related to maritime infrastructure.
• Engage and collaborate with stakeholders, including state and local government, industry representatives, community groups and the public to support the successful planning and delivery of maritime infrastructure projects.
• Support a collaborative team culture by contributing to program-wide activities, sharing knowledge, and promoting the OneTMR approach to cross-functional delivery.

Mandatory qualifications and conditions:
• Current ‘C' class driver's license.
• A Washington Accord accredited four-year degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent recognised by Engineers Australia.
• Registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) is mandatory for appointment to the position. However, applications will also be considered if evidence is provided that an assessment for RPEQ has commenced.
• Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role.

As an engineer within TMR, you will be eligible for a range of benefits including provision of a generous RPEQ compensation payment to support on-going continuous professional development. Financial support to maintain professional memberships and to undertake further study through the Study and Research Assistance Scheme are also available.

Contact Chris Voisey, Project Manager (Boating Infrastructure) on Ph: (07) 3066 3770 for any questions regarding the position. All applications are to be submitted via Smart Jobs.
