We are seeking a dynamic Business Improvement Officer to join our Business Improvement Team!
In this role, you'll lead and support service delivery projects using best practice project management principles and play a key part in driving business process improvement initiatives within the Customer Services Branch.

What you will do:
In your role, you will
• Lead and participate in the development and implementation of service delivery projects and innovative business improvement initiatives.
• Build and maintain strong, working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders to achieve effective business outcomes.
• Prepare or assist in the preparation of business cases, requirements specifications, project briefs, plans, reports and recommendations.
• Assist in the preparation and evaluation of business proposals and options.
• Assist in the implementation of change management strategies.
• Assist in the gathering, interpretation and documentation of business requirements, rules, specifications and processes.
• Initiate, plan and prioritise work goals and monitor progress to meet deadlines.
Who we are looking for:
An individual with
• Experience actively participating in the development and execution of innovative projects, particularly those involving information and communication technology (ICT) and business improvement initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage project related tasks to achieve agreed objectives, including the ability to apply a flexible approach to new and unexpected events.
• Experience with leading process, systems or business change, including demonstrated ability to guide others through the change, even in times of uncertainty.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish and foster ongoing relationships with various stakeholder groups, including project governance boards, business units, policy branches and subject matter experts. Experience and preference for collaboration and partnering throughout project delivery.
• Experience in analysing available information in a critical manner and describing the rationale behind decisions. Accepts responsibility for actions and demonstrates judgement about when to escalate issues.
Desirable qualifications and experience
• Qualifications in Project Management - for example, PRINCE2 Practitioner/Foundation, Agile, diploma, certificate or similar.
