Your Key Accountabilities:

The core capability requirements for this role are:

  • Provide transportation of staff and recruits of the Academy, other Police Service personnel and external clients.
  • Undertake basic administrative and support to assist the facilities team.
  • Assist with the planning and monitoring of repairs/maintenance to Campus buildings, grounds, equipment/resources and vehicles, including cleaning, fuelling and auditing of vehicle logbooks.
  • Carry out minor repairs, maintenance and cleaning to facilities, grounds, equipment, machinery and vehicles. This includes mowing, edging, trimming plants and trees, hedging, etc.
  • Assist with the security of Campus buildings, grounds, vehicles and resources.
  • Comply with work health and safety requirements, including safe storage and/or disposal of fuel products and chemicals.

Role Requirements:

Mandatory

  • Whilst not mandatory, HR / LR class driver license - driving experience, preferably in buses, would be highly regarded.

Technical/ Operational/ Educational experience

  • Proven experience in gardening/ horticulture with sound knowledge of local plants, local pest control, synthetic and natural fertilizers.
  • Proven experience with usage, maintenance and repairs of various gardening equipment (zero turn mowers, whipper snippers, hedgers, etc).
