The General Ledger and Reporting team within the Department of Customer Services, Open Data and Small and Family Business provides financial reconciliation services ensuring that the general ledger records are accurate, preventing errors and maintaining compliance with account standards for the customers they delivery services to. As a key member of the team, you will perform various reconciliation activities including fortnightly payroll reconciliation and other operational finance tasks in addition to providing advice and guidance to customers and other team members.

As the Senior Finance Officer, you will perform a range of financial tasks including:
o preparation of correspondence
o undertaking accruals and reconciliations
o end of month journals and reports including balance sheet reconciliations, registers and repayments
o daily banking tasks and cashflow reporting
o management of payroll interface processes including reconciliations
o manage leave financial accrual processes
o management of Open Item Management in SAP
o maintenance and completion of various registers.

Monitor and report on service delivery outcomes in line with service level agreements and contribute to the ongoing development of these agreements.

Provide accurate and timely specialist advice and assistance to clients, management and staff on financial management policies, procedures, standards and systems.

Undertake research, analysis and investigation into financial management issues and complex problems.

Work collaboratively to achieve business process reform and review, enhance and implement improved standardised work practices.

Mentor staff to build team capability.
