This position is part of the Department of Customer Services, Open Data & Small & Family Business (CDSB) as part of the recent Machinery-of-Government changes. CDSB is currently in negotiations for a certified agreement to cover all CDSB employees. In the meantime, the TMR Agreement conditions apply to this position.

We’re seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Advisor (Learning, Training and Development) to join our dedicated team of LTD professionals, leading the design and delivery of innovative learning solutions that empower staff to excel in their roles, adapt to future business needs, and shape the future of learning within the branch. With a strong focus on instructional design and program management, you’ll provide expert advice to senior leaders and drive impactful training initiatives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

What you will do:
Some of your responsibilities will include:
• Effective leadership and whole-of-life management of a suite of Learning, Training and Development (LTD) Programmes to analyse, design, develop, implement, evaluate and manage training.
• Provision of LTD expertise and instructional design specialist advice to senior leaders and key stakeholders on a broad range of training initiatives to meet the needs of the branch, our customers and our future business needs.
• Effective contribution, review and reporting on an agreed Program of Work.
• Lead the instructional design for the development of training assets to enable new and existing CDSB employees to fulfil the full requirements of their role.
• Build and maintain effective and professional working relationships with a range of stakeholders.

Who we are looking for:
An individual with:
• Demonstrated ability in instructional design or similar profession to design for online learning, instructor lead or just in time learning.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain a high standard of practice in the analysis, design, development, testing and evaluation of adult learning materials.
• Demonstrated ability stimulate ideas and innovation by gathering insights and embracing new ideas and innovation to inform future practices. Actively seeks and shares creative ideas and suggestions to inform the delivery of Learning and Development services.
