The role of the Maritime Assets and Infrastructure (MAI) Executive Services Officer is to plan, procure, design, construct, manage and maintain the maritime infrastructure portfolio.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
• Co-ordinate the daily business of the Executive Director (Maritime and Assets Infrastructure) by managing diary, undertaking all meeting and travel demands and identifying possible issues which may impact on the activities of the Executive Director.
• Provide administrative support to the Directors and Managers across the unit.
• Co-ordinate and liaise with senior management across the division, the Department and with external stakeholders to ensure effective management of the Executive Director's office to ensure that relevant requests and issues are dealt with in a timely manner.
• Maintain and support document management systems for the Unit including tracking, integrity and security of files, documents, and correspondence, ensuring corporate standards and confidentiality are adhered to.
• Ensure the efficient management of all correspondence for attention by the Executive Director so that high priority issues are immediately directed, with the accompanying relevant background information, to the appropriate officer for action.
• Analyse, interpret and disseminate information and requests throughout the Unit to ensure staff are well informed of current and emerging issues.
• Undertake the role in accordance with the requirements of s26(1) of the Public Service Act 2022 and at all times ensure that the principles as found in the Code of Conduct for the Queensland Public Service are upheld in the carrying out of all duties.
• Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to the appointment to the role.
