Home Hill State High School is located in the Burdekin region, approximately an hour south of Townsville. The area is predominantly a sugar growing area, and renowned for producing cane with the highest sugar content in Australia. Home Hill is a delightful town, with much history and tradition, and some of the best fishing around. Our school has approximately 240 students, and boasts an extensive curriculum with a record of strong academic achievement. We promote LEARNING, PERFORMANCE and CITIZENSHIP as the key elements for success of our school. For over 50 years, our students have demonstrated their commitment to these elements, and developed the proud reputation that we have.
