About the program
The Queensland Government Digital Graduate Program is a structured 2 year program aimed at empowering recent graduates to kickstart their careers in digital and ICT roles. This program offers diverse opportunities across areas such as data analytics, cybersecurity, software development, and digital transformation etc.
Graduates will gain hands-on experience working on impactful projects within government departments, receive mentorship and professional development, and build strong networks in the public sector. With a focus on fostering innovation and developing future leaders, this program is ideal for graduates looking to make a real difference while advancing their careers.
The program commences for successful applicants in February 2026 (or earlier if requested by the agency).
Program eligibility
We are looking for graduates in all aspects of IT development, customer service, design and delivery of services to Queenslanders.
To be eligible for the Digital Graduate Program, you must:
• have completed a university degree within the last 3 years (from January 2022 for the 2026 intake), or expect to finish your studies by the end of December 2025 prior to the start of the program in February of the intake year
• have your bachelor, graduate certificate, or master's degree in any of the following areas:
o information technology, cloud computing, cyber security, computer science, data analytics, robotics, telecommunications, information management, mathematics
o business, marketing, procurement, project management
o law
o creative industries, web and multimedia design, user experience design.
• be an Australian or New Zealand citizen; an Australian permanent resident; or an international student or graduate eligible to work without restriction in Australia until at least March 2028 (for the 2026 intake).
Please note: Note: International graduates and international students must provide evidence of visa entitlements that reflect full working rights in Australia—this includes bridging visa for full working rights visa and completion of your degree no later than June 2025.
