Your contribution and key responsibilities

- Develop, implement and manage grants and infrastructure programs and projects aligned with government objectives.

- Lead contract development, negotiation and performance monitoring to ensure compliance with program requirements and departmental policies.

- Provide strategic and operational analysis and advice on program design and implementation, including risk, performance and opportunities for improvement

- Build and maintain strong relationships with other state government agencies, other levels of government, the non-government sector and key community stakeholders, to deliver outcomes and manage risks.

- Prepare high-quality ministerial and executive briefs, correspondence, reports and other documentation to support program delivery and decision-making.

- Work both independently and collaboratively, contributing to a positive team environment and sharing knowledge to support continuous improvement.

What we are looking for

- Experience managing grant and funding programs in government or community settings, including contract and performance management. Prior experience with infrastructure funding will be highly regarded.

- Cultural capability and stakeholder engagement skills, particularly in working with culturally and linguistically diverse communities' and organisations.

- Strategic and operational thinking with the ability to provide practical advice that improves program delivery and contributes to team objectives.

- Strong communication and written skills, including experience preparing high quality briefing notes, correspondence, reports and program documentation.

- A collaborative approach and a commitment to equity, inclusion, and building community outcomes through quality programs.
