The opportunity
As our Employee Relations Consultant you will:
• Provide accurate and timely employee relations, human resources and industrial relations advice and consultancy services to management and staff focussing on delivering effective solutions that support a high performing work environment.
• Undertake employment screening activities to support stakeholders to make informed recruitment decisions.
• Meaningfully analyse information and complete regular reporting relating to conduct and performance matters, conflicts of interest, lobbying and union encouragement as required by external agencies and industrial instruments.
• Contribute to the review and implementation of HR management systems, policies and procedures, and associated artefacts which support contemporary best practice and implementation of strategic priorities and business objectives.
• Support the Employee Relations and Integrity team with the coordination and management of allocated workplace relations matters, initiatives and projects, including assisting in preparation of reports and other correspondence as required.
• Develop and maintain constructive and professional working relationships with internal and external clients, to facilitate innovative HR solutions for customers.
• Maintain sound knowledge of current HR legislation, awards, certified agreements, directives, policies and procedures to support timely and evidence based advice and support service delivery outcomes.
You may also have
• Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Law, Industrial Relations, Public Policy or related areas and/or relevant transferable experience, though not required, will be highly regarded.
