We are looking for a Technical Officer to join our high performing team in Invasive Plants and Animals:
• to lead preventative approaches to reduce the impacts of priority invasive pest species.
• Implement plans/ activities along with team members that are collaborative, technically sound and follow best management practices.

Invasive Plants and Animals (IPA) significantly affect the environment, agricultural production, infrastructure, human health and our way of life in general. The IPA program directs, facilitates and delivers strategic and targeted action to reduce the impact of invasive species in Queensland.
As our Senior Biosecurity Officer, you will provide leadership that protects and enhances invasive species management in Queensland. With Queensland being affected by more biosecurity incursions than any other Australian state or territory, your efforts will be integral in helping the government prevent, respond to, and recover from biosecurity concerns that threaten our environment, communities and the economy.
You will know you're achieving success in the role when you:
• are dedicated to protecting and enhancing Queensland landscapes
• are preventing and reducing priority pest impacts on-ground.
• are actively assisting the lead of a high-performing team.
It is a requirement for all Biosecurity Queensland positions to have a criminal history check completed.
