This role is different to an operational ranger role as your day-to-day duties will involve working within a small team in estate management, focusing on the management of resource industry activities e.g., coal seam gas, mining and prospecting. Other functions and activities may include involvement in tenure-related issues, and administering authorities that regulate uses such as infrastructure occupation, grazing & apiary activities on QPWS&P managed estates.The Estate Management Team – within which the role is based - works closely with resource industries and other estate user groups, departmental staff and other State government departments to complete tasks and achieve team functions.
