We are looking for an experienced Account Manager Lead to play a pivotal role in shaping and managing strategic relationships between our business unit, Information Technology Partners (ITP) and partner agencies. As a trusted advisor you will strategically lead in inclusive and complex environments, inspire others, drive accountability and demonstrate sound governance.
ITP is hosted by the Department of Primary Industries (DPI) and delivers information technology and information management services to 7 government agencies. Our purpose is to provide effective and innovative services as a trusted, strategic partner distributing smart, secure and seamless solutions. We connect people, processes, information and technology to deliver better outcomes for Queensland.

The opportunity
As our Account Manager Lead you will drive impactful partnerships within your portfolio, aligning ITPs services with the long-term goals and objectives of partner agencies. You'll have the opportunity to provide oversight of strategically important ITP initiatives, leveraging relationships and influence to overcome challenges. Your account management expertise and leadership skills will contribute to our vision to be the digital partner of choice in the Queensland Public Sector.
You will also be responsible to:
- Represent ITP in complex negotiations with senior stakeholders, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Develop and present submissions, proposals, reports, and briefings related to the delivery of ITP services and products, ensuring they are clear, concise, and actionable.
- Develop and implement strategic account plans that maximise the value of ITP for partner agencies.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve service delivery, and enhance the overall experience for partner agencies.
- Coordinate resources and supervise Account Managers assigned activities to a portfolio of partner agencies.
- Foster a positive, high-performing team culture that values innovation, continuous improvement, ethical practices, safety, diversity, and knowledge sharing.
What we are looking for (qualifications, registrations, experience)
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with senior management stakeholders to facilitate, negotiate and influence digital solutions.
- Strategic mindset with a focus on delivering results.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Experience in preparing high-quality proposals and business cases.
- Understanding of the complexity of information technology service delivery in public sector or not-for-profit organisation.
- You must have the legal right to live and work in Australia.
