Located in the Carnarvon Gorge Section (Carnarvon National Park), we’re seeking a dedicated Ranger who has a strong connection to country and is committed to
helping protect the cultural and ecological values of Carnarvon National Park. As part of our team, you’ll play a vital role in safeguarding the natural beauty of Carnarvon. You’ll help protect cultural sites and pass on invaluable traditional ecological knowledge. This role involves working in remote areas under physically challenging conditions. Departmental housing is provided for this position.

The Ideal Candidate:
· Demonstrates a strong passion for conservation and land management.
· Actively participates in prescribed burning, fuel reduction, and bushfire management activities.
· Possesses a reasonable level of fitness, with the ability to hike long distances.
· Effectively manages small projects, ensures compliance, and performs a variety of natural and cultural resource management tasks.
· Displays excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
· Provides support to the Ranger-in-Charge of the Carnarvon National Park management unit.
· Supervises a work group to complete tasks and achieve project outcomes.
· Demonstrates the ability to mentor, support, and share skills with a diverse group of individuals.
