About the QBCC

The QBCC is Queensland's independent building and construction regulator. Its mandate is to educate, protect and support both the industry and the community, building confidence through fair, transparent and accountable regulation.

The organisation has embarked on an ambitious transformation journey, reimagining how it delivers regulatory services and creating the systems, culture and capabilities needed for the future. With ambitious housing targets and the Olympic and Paralympic legacy ahead, this decade presents a once-in-a-generation opportunity to shape Queensland as the building capital of the nation.

For the QBCC, transformation is about more than projects. It is about building success from the inside out. The Commission is sharpening its focus on customer experience, deepening stakeholder relationships and modernising delivery, ensuring it remains a trusted regulator while becoming easier to do business with. This is the context in which the Head of Transformation and Change will make a defining impact.

About the Role

Supporting the Chief Executive Officer and Commissioner, as Head of Transformation and Change you will play a pivotal role by establishing a new group that translates strategy into executable roadmaps with clear deliverables, strong governance and a relentless focus on benefits realisation.

  • Drive flawless execution of the transformation agenda.
  • Embed best practice change and project delivery methodologies.
    • Enable prioritisation and investment decisions with executives.
    • Inspire a culture of accountability, results and measurable impact.

This is not just about managing projects. It is about turning ambition into sustainable outcomes, shaping the future of the QBCC and leaving a legacy for Queensland's building and construction industry.

    About You

As a proven senior leader, you thrive on complexity, influence with integrity and are motivated by the opportunity to turn vision into tangible results that make a difference to industry and community.

With a proven record in large-scale transformation, change management and enterprise delivery you bring:

    Why Join the QBCC?

At the QBCC, leaders are more than decision makers. They are role models for values and champions of culture. While experts in their fields, they are also doers – hands on, accountable and committed to lifting others as they go.

Our people are encouraged to bring a growth mindset, challenge the norm and seek fresh perspectives. And it is these perspectives that make the QBCC's people its greatest asset. Culture here is not just what is said, it is how people show up, how they lead, how they collaborate and how they deliver.

That is why the QBCC is building a high-performing, motivated and engaged workforce empowered to deliver exceptional outcomes. Because, together, the QBCC is helping to build a thriving building and construction industry.
