As the Engineer, you will:
· Support the Senior Engineer in review of activities for the Tweed Sand Bypassing (TSB) program, liaising and consulting with key stakeholder organisations.
· Assess and quality assure operational, survey, and environmental monitoring data, analysing events and trends to inform decision making.
· Collaborate with the Qld TSB team at TSB related workshops and meetings, providing technical data and support for stakeholder interactions at all levels.
· Contribute to the design and tendering evaluation for TSB projects.
· Import and analyse environmental and survey data using geospatial software packages and tools, developing GIS products, visualisations and outputs.
· Conduct field monitoring and surveying exercises to investigate coastal events and phenomena.
· Support the Coastal Assessment, Science and Engineering (CASE) team with coastal engineering analysis and physical modelling of coastal infrastructure.
· Act as a Storm Tide Advisor, operating parametric storm tide models during tropical cyclones to provide critical insights.

About you:
You will have:
· An interest in acquiring knowledge of coastal and environmental science and engineering.
· Experience collating, curating and analysing environmental data.
· Demonstrated analytical and research skills, including data verification and manipulation; problem solving and project management skills.
· The ability to work effectively under direction to achieve work objectives, maintaining a positive and calm approach even in challenging circumstances.
· Demonstrated ability to cultivate and sustain relationships using your communication and liaison skills, as well as your ability to prepare clear and concise technical reports and online information products.
· The ability to actively contribute to workplace equity and diversity, enriching our culture of safety, innovation, respect and inclusion.
