The Communications and Media Manager will support the Head of Communications and Media in developing and managing the communications and media strategy for the Queensland Academy of Sport (QAS). You will lead a small team to implement the strategy with a focus on driving the QAS' digital channel growth and development, ensuring we remain at the forefront of technology and digital trends to We're looking for someone to step into this maternity cover position and contribute to our team during this period.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
• Collaborate with the Head of Communications & Media in the design and delivery of the QAS communications and media strategy, including proactive content generation and storytelling, digital platform and community development, and campaign and marketing activity to support the QAS' business priorities and outcomes.
• Collaborate with the Head of Communications & Media in providing high level advice to the QAS CEO, QAS Executive, QAS Board and Ministerial Advisors.
• Manage the strategy, planning and day-to-day operations of QAS' social and digital profiles, driving creative and innovative practices to boost growth and engagement with identified target audiences.
• Lead and manage a small Communications team (currently Senior Communications Advisor and Video Content Producer) to deliver towards the overall QAS communications and media strategy, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and personal and professional development.
• Manage the development and use of the QAS brand, creative assets and agencies (graphic and video) to drive brand equity and awareness for QAS.
