We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative data professional to join our specialised Aviation Operations team as a Data Analyst & Scheduler in Brisbane. The Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative data professional to join our specialised Aviation Operations team as a Data Analyst & Scheduler in Brisbane. You will utilise your high-level technical skills to conduct comprehensive data analysis and reporting on flight performance monitoring, governance commitments and flight crew schedules. Your role will involve researching, analysing and reviewing operational data to identify trends and patterns, providing valuable recommendations for optimising operational resources. Using both quantitative and qualitative analysis, you will prepare reports and presentations, ensuring data quality and compliance with regulatory requirements. A part-time (5 days per fortnight) temporary position is available commencing 12 January 2026 for a period of 6 months with the possibility of extension.

Key Accountabilities

Your Key Accountabilities will include:

  • Undertake data analysis and reporting associated with flight performance monitoring, governance commitments with internal and external stakeholders and flight crew schedules.
  • Undertake research, analysis, and review of operational data to identify trends and patterns and provide appropriate recommendations.
  • Provide capacity planning support and advice for the coordination of operational resources and personnel.
  • Undertake quantitative and qualitative analysis of data to prepare reports, presentations, documents, and correspondence with key stakeholders including senior management.
  • Generate reports on flight information systems to ensure data quality, improving audit and governance practices.
  • Develop and maintain operational staff schedules that comply with relevant industrial agreements, regulatory requirements and fatigue management principles.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support service delivery outcomes.

What We're Looking For:

The following skills and experience would be highly regarded:

  • Experience in data analysis, including the ability to interpret and visualise data to extract meaningful insights.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including proficiency in creating charts, using pivot tables and applying formulas to analyse data effectively.
  • Experience using Air Maestro scheduling and rostering software (or similar).
  • Experience with CASA Fatigue Management Systems (FMS) and Crew Resource Management (CRM) principles.
