Independent Chairperson, Valuation Objection Conferences

We are seeking Expressions of Interest for Independent Chairpersons to join the Valuation Objection Conference Board! You will play a pivotal role in facilitating objection conferences under the Land Valuation Act 2010. These conferences aim to resolve disputes over land valuations exceeding $5 million through constructive negotiations and open information exchange.
As an Independent Chairperson, you will ensure conferences are conducted efficiently, fairly, and in compliance with the Act. Your responsibilities will include facilitating discussions, issuing notices, coordinating conferences, providing recommendations, and reporting to the Valuer-General.
We’re looking for skilled professionals with strong communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities, along with experience in property, land valuation, law, or
dispute resolution.

Expressions of Interest are open for Independent Chairpersons to support the Valuation Objection Conference Board. Help resolve land valuation disputes under the Land Valuation Act 2010!
This role is critical in ensuring fair and efficient outcomes for landowners and the Valuer-General in cases where valuations exceed $5 million. As an Independent Chairperson, you will oversee the objection conference process, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements while fostering constructive dialogue between parties. You will be responsible for managing the exchange of relevant information, issuing notices, and facilitating discussions to encourage resolution. The role also involves providing recommendations, coordinating conference logistics, and reporting outcomes to the Valuer-General.
We are looking for professionals with strong communication and conflict resolution skills, a proven ability to manage sensitive discussions with impartiality, and a solid understanding of the Land Valuation Act 2010. Experience in property, land valuation, law, or alternative dispute resolution is highly desirable. If you are organised, analytical, and committed to achieving equitable outcomes, this is your opportunity to contribute to Queensland's land valuation processes.
