Your contribution

The Senior Internal Audit Manager is responsible for:

  • Develop and manage the Strategic (5 year) and Annual Internal Audit Plans following consultation with the CEO, the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and referring to the CCC's Strategic and Operational Plans and all business unit risk registers.
  • Conducting compliance, financial, operational/performance and information systems audits to assess operational efficiency and effectiveness and compliance with government and CCC policy, legislation, standards and operational objectives including the requirements of the Financial Accountability Act 2009 and the Financial and Performance Management Standard 2019. This includes conducting compliance, financial and performance audits of sensitive and protected information.
  • Present audit report findings, updates on outstanding audit recommendations and actions taken at quarterly ARMC Meetings and provide an advisory service to the ARMC, ELT and all levels of management to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. Provide updates to the Commission via the CEO, on quarterly ARMC meetings and Internal Audit Plan progress.
  • Managing tender processes for any approved outsourced audits by providing appropriate specifications to suppliers invited to submit offers and by chairing the tender evaluation panels.
  • Assisting the ARMC secretariat of the CCC by ensuring the quarterly meeting agendas are in accordance with the Annual Internal Audit Agenda Schedule. Providing quarterly updates and audit reports to the ARMC that complement the Annual Internal Audit Plan.
  • Conducting special management-initiated audits and reviewing biennially the ARMC Charter and Internal Audit Policies.
  • Providing an assurance role in a proactive capacity for high value/high risk corporate projects.
