Exciting Opportunity: Compliance Officer positions available in the Compliance team at Blue Card Services Queensland Worker Screening Services
3 positions available:
• 1x temporary until 17/02/2027
• 2x temporary until 31/05/2026 with possibility of extension.
As a Compliance Officer, you will investigate and monitor Blue Card Services (BCS) stakeholder’s compliance with the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000 (the Act), providing an education-first approach to achieve compliance with the blue card system requirements.

What you'll do:
As a Compliance Officer, you will:
- Initiate investigation cases in response to referrals from both internal and external sources.
- Undertake investigations into standard cases of non-compliance with the Act to identify alleged breaches.
- Collect relevant information using closed and open sources in accordance with policy and guidelines to substantiate the allegation.
- Complete initial assessments of a case to decide the appropriate risk mitigation strategy in accordance with legislation, policy and guidelines.
- Provide high-level education to BCS stakeholders to achieve compliance through both written and verbal communication.
- Identify and escalate high-risk cases through established escalation pathways.
- Prepare briefs to the Queensland Police Service for standard cases of non-compliance.
- Perform other risk management actions in accordance with legislation, policy and guidelines.
- Management workload independently and solve problems within established guidelines to achieve work targets and contribute to team goals.
- Contribute positively to a team environment through collaboration, teamwork, problem solving, innovation and achieving results.
