QBuild is a commercialised business unit of the Queensland Government. It has been Queensland Government's builder for over 160 years, playing an important role in communities across the state by building and maintaining government-owned assets such as schools, social housing, police stations and correctional and health facilities.
You will play a pivotal role in supporting QBuild's ambition to strengthen Queensland's building and construction industry by providing exceptional project management, ensuring client satisfaction, and maximizing project profitability.
Duties and skills involved:
- Planning and delivering housing projects through the supervision and development of office staff, field staff, and subcontractors, and managing resources such as plant and equipment, depots, and motor vehicles.
- Monitoring and reviewing project standards using work order management techniques, reporting to stakeholders on service quality, project delivery, and expenditure, ensuring compliance with industry best practices and agreed cost and time parameters.
- Managing regional resources to deliver construction, maintenance, and upgrade projects, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and practices.
- Providing high-level supervisory services for the delivery of construction, maintenance, and upgrade work undertaken by QBuild, including operational contract supervision for major and complex projects.
- Developing and maintaining positive relationships with clients through regular communication, sound negotiation, and achieving program outcomes that meet client expectations.
- Promoting QBuild products and services to clients, identifying opportunities for new business services based on emerging trends in asset management, and proactively managing the work performance and personal conduct of your staff.
Additional requirements:
- Current Workplace Health and Safety General Safety Induction Card.
- Current Drivers Licence
