The Rail Delivery & Safety team
The Rail Infrastructure Delivery Office is at the forefront of delivering transformative rail infrastructure across Queensland. As part of our team, you'll be contributing to:
• Develop and implement policies, guidelines, procedures, programs and initiatives to support safety processes ensuring compliance with legislation and standards.
• Implement the Project Safety Assurance activities.
• Maintain oversight of safety assurance activities by contracted entities.
• Prepare and present regular reports on safety assurance and management activities to project and program leadership teams.
• Lead and support Project safety management activities, including risk assessment, safety observations and risk mitigation planning.
What your day-to-day could look like
About you
• Extensive experience working on large rail or infrastructure projects and working with relevant workplace health and safety acts, regulations, codes of practice, guidelines and AS/ISO standards.
• Experience of working with regulatory bodies including the Office of the National Rail Safety Regulator (ONRSR), and the Office of the Federal Safety Commissioner (OFSC).
• Demonstrated ability of excellent analytical skills to stay informed about safety activities, identify trends and risks in safety issues, and develop proactive strategies for issues management and mitigation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively plan, implement and manage safety activities, as well as to provide strategic advice to senior management.
• Experience in ensuring that teams and processes are kept up to date on industry and legislative changes
