The Queensland Building and Construction Commission is seeking an experienced leader to guide the Compliance and Enforcement Unit in delivering high‑quality regulatory outcomes across Queensland’s building and construction industry. The purpose of the position is to lead complex and sensitive investigations into breaches of legislation and coordinate the operations of the Compliance and Enforcement Division.

About the Role
In this pivotal leadership position, you will oversee teams within the Compliance and Enforcement Division to ensure consistent, effective compliance activities across the Brisbane Office. You will also support Regional Service Centres by developing and delivering training programs that strengthen capability and promote best‑practice approaches for Compliance Officers.
A key part of this role involves engaging with consumers, contractors, industry stakeholders, government bodies and associations. You will provide authoritative advice on QBCC legislation and processes, promote awareness of the Commission's objectives, and foster cooperative partnerships that support compliance and industry improvement.
You will contribute to the ongoing review and enhancement of QBCC operations, ensuring the organisation continues to deliver efficient, fair and transparent regulatory services. The role also represents the Commission in promotional and educational forums, as well as in tribunal and court proceedings.
