Executive Manager Business Services

The Executive Manager, Business Services is responsible for leading the delivery of business services to the region including planning; governance; infrastructure, fleet and equipment planning and management; financial and management accounting; human resource management; health and safety; and delivery of a wide range of business support services including general administrative support.
The role will provide a high level of strategic support to the regional Assistant Commissioner in delivering organisational outcomes and reforms that contribute to the overall future direction of the QAS, to ensure quality, timely and appropriate pre-hospital care and transport services are provided to the Queensland community within the region.

- Lead and strategically manage all aspects of the business services functions within the region to meet QAS operational service delivery needs and business objectives.
- Ensure the provision of high-quality fleet, equipment and infrastructure planning and management services to regional managers and staff, including monitoring, reporting, advice, support and compliance functions to enable effective operational service delivery and to meet changing operational demands.
- Ensure the provision of high-quality financial management and accounting services to regional managers and staff, including planning, monitoring, reporting, advice, support and compliance functions to enable effective operational service delivery and ensure financial and business objectives are met.
- Ensure the provision of high-quality human resource and health and safety management services to regional managers and staff, including planning, monitoring, reporting, advice, support and compliance functions to enable effective operational service delivery and ensure workforce management and health and safety priorities are met.
- Ensure the provision of timely and effective workforce planning services to regional managers and staff, including planning, reporting, advice, support and compliance functions to enable effective and efficient operational service delivery that meets community demand.
- Ensure the provision of high-quality business services including planning, governance, risk management, procurement and general administrative support to regional managers and staff to support operational service delivery.
- Actively liaise with Local Ambulance Committees (LACs) and manage annual reporting and review requirements to QAS and provide advice regarding business services/processes.
- Develop and maintain productive, professional relationships within the QAS, Queensland Health, other public sector agencies, emergency service organisations, and key stakeholders and represent the QAS in the media as required.
- Develop and implement high quality governance processes which meet all applicable legislative and organisational compliance requirements, ensuring a focus on continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement business performance measures and evaluation mechanisms for all services delivered to ensure the achievement of set business objectives and key performance indicators.
- Oversee the development, implementation and provision of reporting and analysis on performance, ensuring that adverse indicators and variances are appropriately investigated, and corrective action identified and taken where necessary.
- Ensure direct reports are trained and developed through having a clear understanding of their roles, accountabilities and performance measures and deliver appropriate performance feedback on a regular basis.
- As a leader, actively demonstrate and promote the QAS's approach of zero tolerance towards violence and commit to supporting those affected by domestic and family violence in accordance with QAS policies and mechanisms. Model and influence a workplace culture of gender equality, respectful relationships, diversity, inclusion, employee safety and support.
- Uphold the QAS Statement of Commitment to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and Cultural Safety Policy Statement and prioritise safe, effective, quality healthcare that is free from racism and discrimination.
